Who Will Surprise At The 2014 World Cup?
Every four years the world prepares for the FIFA World Cup. If past performances in previous world cups are an indication to anything, the major teams to watch for are always: Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany, and France. The next world cup will take place in Brasil in 2014. Although there are currently no clear cut choices to take the cup, there are many teams to look out for as surprise winners.
Always the favored to take the cup is Brazil. Being the only team in the Cup’s history to win five titles, Brasil always has up and coming talent to play on it’s squad. With a new coach, and new look, after a upsetting early elimination in 2010, the team looks to take the title on their home soil in 2014.
Another World Cup fan favorite is Germany. Holding the second most Cup titles at three, Germany always puts up a great performance in the cup. They have a wide variety of players coming in from leagues such as Manchester United and Real Madrid, which offer them differnet choices from all over the world. The team looked pretty weak after it’s 2010 exit, but promises to offer a great younger squad in 2014.
Another contender to watch for is Spain. After it’s first cup win in 2010, the team will have most of it’s young squad returning in 2014 to defend it’s title. It promises another great performance with a well established team, and great coaching squad.
Personally, I believe Brasil is the team to win. Playing in their home country, and after two early exits in both 2006 and 2010, the team is rebuilding its squad and has an all new coaching staff. The players want to win on thier home turf, and will put up a battle to take the cup.
