Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. It has become the number one sport of most countries, all except for America. In America fans are more concerned with football, baseball and basketball. But should they equally be excited about the sport of soccer? The answer to that question is, yes, they should be excited about soccer. Let’s take a look at reasons why.

Soccer is full of nonstop action. Sure the scoring in soccer is typically low, but that isn’t an accurate indicator of the action level in the sport. The athletes are constantly moving and trying to score and stop each other from scoring. In a soccer game there are many close calls when it comes to scoring that lead to it being rather exciting to watch. Even though the goal might not have been scored, the action leading up to the goal attempt is fun to watch.

The sport of soccer is easy for anyone to play. All you need is a ball and some space. You can play it in the driveway or at the park. You can make goals out of anything. Some kids even use trash cans as goals. Soccer is truly a fun sport that more Americans should get excited about.
